Projects
We solve hard problems for our clients. Current projects under development by the US team include building a cryptocurrency-based loyalty rewards system, ingesting and visualizing data for a high-volume sensor network, and porting a massive data processing system from on-premise to AWS. The thing we know for sure about our projects is that we’re not sure what the next problem is that we’ll get to solve!
Job
We need hands-on technical leaders who can contribute directly onto technical projects while leading a team of first-rate developers. Technical Managers at 3Pillar must have demonstrated deep expertise in at least one stack and general knowledge across a wide array of technologies, as well as leading and managing other developers, while working with project stakeholders or clients to make sure project expectations are met.
As a Technical Manager in 3Pillar’s US office, you will be part of a team building great software products for our clients. You will be expected to add functionality end-to-end in projects where your technical expertise is needed, and learn new technologies and techniques along the way. 3Pillar is driven by lean and agile principles. You will be expected to be a part of the process of prioritizing to get to MVP, breaking down features into workable user stories, estimating those stories, and implementing them according to your estimates.
Requirements
- Passion for technology.
- Expert in at least one full-stack ecosystem, including: expert in at least one modern front-end framework, for instance a javascript or mobile platform.
- Expert in implementing backend features, for instance building APIs, implementing business logic functionality, interfacing with databases, integrating with services.
- Comfortable working with modern HTML/CSS- able to build at least rudimentary UI. (Our UI developers can make them pixel-perfect later!)
- Expert with one modern development environment (muJava, .NET, GoLang, etc)
- Expert working in modern development ecosystem- Jira/Git- including best practices- code reviews, etc.
- Strong understanding of multiple software product architectures such as MVC, APIs, etc.
- Strong experience being a technical leader on a product development team.
- Ability to manage a team developing a software using lean and agile principles.
- Proven experience working with product owners (internal or external) to understand requirements, negotiate priority, communicate status, and (most importantly) deliver results.
